 Free Amigurumi Bear Crochet Pattern



Learn how to crochet an adorable amigurumi bear with this free crochet pattern. The body and legs are worked together in one piece, while the arms are joined with single crochet as you work the body. The finished crochet bear measures approximately 12–13 cm (5″) tall.

Materials:

  • Yarn: YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m)
  • Hook size: 2.0 mm
  • 5-8 mm safety eyes
  • Black embroidery floss for a nose, eyebrows and eyelashes
  • Some white yarn for eye whites
  • Sewing needle
  • Scissors
  • Tailor’s pins
  • Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
R = row
mc = magic circle
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = 2 sc in the next stitch
dec = single crochet 2 stitches together
F. o. = finish off
( ) = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row
( ) * 7 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated



Head
With brown yarn:
R 1: 7 sc in mc (7)
R 2: (inc) * 7 (14)

Insert safety eyes between R 14 and R 15.

With brown yarn:

Change to sweater color yarn:

Stuff ½ full.
Fold top of the arm and 4 sc through both sides across.

Don’t cut the yarn when you’ll finish the second leg!

From the second leg: 4 ch, join with the first leg (38)
Continue crocheting the body in the round:

Change to sweater color:

Muzzle

Assembly

  1. Sew the head to the body.
  2. Sew the muzzle to the head, put some stuffing inside it before you finish.
  3. Sew the ears on the head.
  4. Sew the tail on the back side of body.
  5. Embroider a nose, eyebrows and eyelashes with black floss.
  6. You can knit a scarf with the I-cord technique.
