Today I’m excited to share this adorable Natalie Doll Amigurumi Pattern, a sweet and detailed project perfect for anyone who loves making handmade dolls. This free pattern includes step-by-step instructions for the body, hair, dress, accessories, and all the cute details that bring Natalie to life. Whether you’re an experienced crocheter or a dedicated beginner, you’ll enjoy creating this charming doll for your collection, as a gift, or as a display piece.

Materials

  • Pingouin Bella Amigurumi Yarn (100g)
    Colors: Strawberry 2306, Soldier 2691, Morocco 7742, Cappuccino 712, White 02

  • Pingouin New Pearl Yarn (100g) – Bordeaux 9294 (for hair)

  • Crochet Hooks: 2.5 mm and 4 mm

  • Safety Eyes: Size #12

  • Tapestry / Finishing Needle

  • Pins

  • Scissors

  • Polyester fiberfill

  • Stitch marker

  • Embroidery thread: Black and white (Mouliné)

  • Small red button + decorative button (optional)

  • Craft glue

  • Hot glue stick: 10 cm (thin 0.72 × 10 cm)

Abbreviations (US Terms)

  • MR – magic ring

  • sc – single crochet

  • dc – double crochet

  • hdc – half double crochet

  • sl st – slip stitch

  • ch – chain

  • inc – increase (2 sc in the same stitch)

  • tr inc – triple increase (3 stitches in the same stitch)

  • dec – decrease

  • row / rnd – round

  • BLO – back loop only

  • FLO – front loop only


Before You Start

  • Read through the instructions before beginning.

  • Add stuffing gradually as you work.

  • Finished size: approx. 21 cm.


LEGS (Make 2) – Cappuccino

  1. 6 sc in MR

  2. 6 inc → 12
    3–10) 12 sc (8 rounds)

Finish off in FLO: (sl st, ch 3) × 12. Fasten off.

Change to White.
In BLO, make one round of slip stitches (this does not count as a round).

  1. BLO: 12 sc

  2. 12 sc

Change to Soldier.
13–14) 12 sc (2 rounds)

Change to White.
15–16) 12 sc (2 rounds)

Change to Soldier.
17–18) 12 sc (2 rounds)

Change to White.
19) 12 sc

Finish the first leg and cut the yarn.
On the second leg, ch 3 and join to the first leg.


Join Legs & Start Body

  1. 12 sc on first leg, 3 sc in ch, 12 sc on second leg, 3 sc in ch → 30

Change to Soldier.
21–22) 30 sc

Change to White.
23–24) 30 sc

Change to Soldier (begin the body).
25–26) 30 sc
27) (3 sc, dec) × 6 → 24
28–31) 24 sc (4 rounds)
32) (2 sc, dec) × 6 → 18
33) (sc, dec) × 6 → 12


HEAD – Morocco

  1. 12 sc

  2. 12 inc → 24

Insert the hot glue stick now and continue stuffing around it.

  1. (3 sc, inc) × 6 → 30

  2. (4 sc, inc) × 6 → 36

  3. (5 sc, inc) × 6 → 42

  4. (6 sc, inc) × 6 → 48
    40–50) 48 sc (11 rounds)

Insert safety eyes between rounds 42 and 43, spaced 6 stitches apart.

  1. (6 sc, dec) × 6 → 42

  2. (5 sc, dec) × 6 → 36

  3. (4 sc, dec) × 6 → 30

  4. (3 sc, dec) × 6 → 24

  5. (2 sc, dec) × 6 → 18

  6. (sc, dec) × 6 → 12

  7. 6 dec → 6
    Fasten off and close the ring.


FACE EMBROIDERY

  • Nose: With Cappuccino (skin tone), embroider across 3 stitches between rounds 41–42.

  • Eye shine: With white thread, add small details beside each eye.

  • Eyelashes & eyebrows: Use black thread.


ARMS (Make 2)

Using Morocco:

  1. 5 sc in MR

  2. 5 inc → 10
    3–5) 10 sc

Change to Soldier.
Make one round of slip stitches in BLO (not counted).

  1. BLO: 10 sc
    7–10) 10 sc

  2. (sc, inc) × 5 → 15
    12–13) 15 sc

  3. (sc, dec) × 5 → 10

Stuff lightly.

  1. 5 dec → 5
    Fasten off with a long tail, close the ring, and bring the yarn out between rounds 13–14 for sewing.


SLEEVE RUFFLE

  1. Insert hook into an outer loop from round 6.

  2. Ch 2, 1 dc in the same stitch.

  3. Work 2 dc in each stitch around.

  4. Fasten off.

For the white trim:
Insert white yarn and work (sc, ch 1) in every stitch. Finish with an invisible join.


EARS (Make 2) – Cappuccino

  1. 6 sc in MR

  2. 6 inc → 12

Do not close into a round; fasten off.
Sew ears 6 stitches away from the eyes, between rounds 41–43.


ATTACH ARMS

Sew the arms between rounds 31–32.
Pass yarn through 2 stitches on the body and 2 stitches on the arm, twice.
Tie securely at the back and hide the tails.


OVERALL DRESS – Strawberry

Skirt

Start: ch 34

  1. Skip 6 ch, 28 sc, ch 1, turn

  2. (6 sc, inc) × 4, ch 1 → 32

  3. (7 sc, inc) × 4, ch 1 → 36
    4–5) 36 sc

Join the ends and begin working in rounds:

  1. (5 sc, inc) × 6 → 42

  2. 42 sc

  3. (6 sc, inc) × 6 → 48
    9–11) 48 sc

Fasten off.
Attach a mini button at the back to close the dress.


Top of Overalls

  1. Count 6 center stitches from row 1. Attach yarn and work: 6 sc, ch 1, turn
    2–3) 6 sc

Straps

At the end of row 3:

  • Ch 12, leave a 10 cm tail, cut.

  • Reattach at the first stitch of row 3, ch 12, leave a 10 cm tail.

Sew straps to the back of the skirt.

Skirt Hem (White)

Work (sc, ch 1) around.
Fasten off with invisible join.
(Optional) Add a decorative button to the front.


HAIR (Bordeaux – 4 mm Hook)

  1. 6 sc in MR

  2. 6 inc → 12

  3. BLO: (sc, inc) × 6 → 18

Fasten off with a long tail.

Hair Strands

  • Cut many strands of yarn 40 cm long.

  • Attach folded strands to each stitch of round 3 (first layer).

  • For the second layer, attach two strands together to each outer loop of round 2.

Sew the hair base to the top of the head.
Glue the back layer of yarn down; leave the front layer loose.
Trim hair to desired length.


BRAIDS

Cut 9 strands of 50 cm.
Divide into 3 groups of 3 and braid.
Tie the ends.


FINISHING THE HAIR

Part the doll’s hair in the center.
Place the braid on top of the part.
Secure tightly with yarn.
Position the braid ends at the back and tie in place.


BOW – Soldier

Ch 25.

  1. Skip 1 ch, work: 2 sl st, 8 sc, 4 sl st, 8 sc, 2 sl st → 24, turn
    2–3) Repeat row 1

Fasten off leaving a long tail.
Wrap the center several times to shape the bow.
Tie at the back and attach to the end of the braids.
