Today we’re sharing a free amigurumi crochet pattern for a sweet bunny. The design and photos are by Carol Palma. With this free pattern, you can learn step by step how to crochet your own adorable bunny. Big thanks to Carol Palma for this lovely creation!



 

If you’re not familiar with crochet stitches or hook sizes, be sure to check out our tutorials first. Begin crocheting according to the gauge recommended for your project and follow the shaping instructions. Form your toy by increasing and decreasing stitches as directed. Once the shape is complete, stuff it firmly and use the photos as a guide to add the finishing details and decorations.

Materials

2.00mm needle
Amigurumi Soft 
Yarn in colors: White no 8001, light brown no 7727, light green no 5069
Eye on the 11mm
embroidery thread
upholstery needle
Fiber for filling
Scissors

Abbreviation

sc – single crochet
slst- Slip Stitch
tr – treble crochet
inc- increase
dec- decrease
Rnd- round
ch – chain
BLO- Back loop only
(..)- number of stitches at the end of the round
[..]- number of round

The final size, if the indicated materials are used, is 21cm high.

Arms

White color no 8001
make two pieces
Rnd 1. 6sc magic ring (6)
Rnd 2-7. 6sc (6) [6rnds]
Change to light green color on 5069
Rnd 8-11. 6sc (6) [4rnds]
Do not stuff, fold and close both sides together with 3sc
Fasten off the thread

Legs

White color no 8001
Rnd 1. 5sc magic ring (5)
Rnd 2. 5 inc (10)
Rnd 3-4. 10sc (10) [2rnds]
Change to light brown color on 7727
Rnd 5-6. 10sc (10) [2rnds]
Close and fasten the 1st leg
Make the second one the same but don’t cut the thread, continue
Rnd 7. 3sc, 2 ch, 10sc (1st leg), 2sc (at 2 ch), 7sc (24)

Legs / Body

Change to light green color

fill the part

Make another 5sc and place the marker in the next stitch

On the next row we will attach the arms

Close with slst and leave a long thread for sewing
Dab a little blush in the center of the ear (optional)
Sew ears to head between rows 38 and 39.

Belts

Light brown color in 7727
Make 25 chains (x2)
Attach to row 12 of the body, crossing at the back of the piece.

Bow Tie

Light brown color in 7727
Make a magic ring, suba 3 ch, 3 tr, 3 ch, slst, 3 ch, 3 tr, 3 ch, slst
Close the ring, leave a long thread
Thread the yarn through the center of the piece for a few turns and sew between rows 21 and 22 of the body

Tail

White color no 8001
Rnd 1. 5sc magic ring (5)
Rnd 2. 5 inc (10)
Rnd 3. 10sc (10)
Rnd 4. 5 dec (5)
Leave long thread for sewing
Sew between rows 9 and 10 of the body
